| Fire Accident at Graphite India's Pipe division |

Graphite India Ltd has announced that a Tire broke out in the scrap yard in the factory of the pipe division of the Company on February 19, 2010. The fire was put off by the fire brigade by evening.
The said occurrence of fire has not disrupted the operations of the unit in any manner nor caused damage to the unit. No production loss is anticipated on account of the fire. Moreover, all the assets of the Company are adequately insured.
The stock closed the day at Rs.78, down by Rs.1.55 or 1.95%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.80.95 and low of Rs.77.25.
The total traded quantity was 66179 compared to 2 week average of 38606.
